  • 500 g Mutton pieces
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 2 medium Onion (Evenly Sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Almond paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Poppy Seeds paste (Khus-Khus)
  • 1/2 tablespoon Pistachio paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Coconut paste
  • 1 tablespoon Whole Dried Milk (Khoya)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • Pinch of Saffron
  • 1/2 cup Pure Ghee
  • Few drop Kewra
  • Salt to taste
  • Silver Foil for garnishing (Chandi ka Warq)
  • For Tadka:
  • 1 long stick Cinnamon
  • 1 piece Bay Leaf
  • 2 piece Green cardamom


- Heat ghee in a cooker, fry onion till golden brown. Take out & dry grind.
- In the same ghee, crackle green cardamom, bay leaf and cinnamon stick for few seconds. Add mutton, salt, red chili powder, coriander & cumin seeds powder, ginger paste and curd. Keep stirring while bhuno it.
- Add almond, pistachio, poppy seeds & coconut paste. Keep bhuno it. Mix Khoya and bhuno it.
- When the mutton turns brown add fried/ground Onion and mix well.
- Add 1 – 1½ cup water and close lid and put on to cook for two pressures (whistles). Then reduce flame and cook till tender.
- Open lid once steam is settled and mix garam masala powder, lime juice, saffron, kewra.
- Take out in serving bowl. Garnish with Silver foil.

- Serve Hot!
