Paneer Til-Bahaar

Cottage Cheese cooked in Awadhi flavors with white sesame seeds.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Paneer (small cubes)
  • 1 tablespoon white Sesame seeds (safed til)
  • 2 piece green Chilli paste
  • 3-4 clove garlic (chopped)
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 1 inch Ginger (julienned)
  • 1 piece green Cardamom
  • 2-3 piece Cloves
  • 2-3 piece black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon green Coriander (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoon Curd
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Ghee
  • Salt to taste

Method

- Heat 1 tsp pure ghee in a shallow vessel. Add white til, green cardamom, cloves, black pepper & fry till they turn light brown. Leave it to cool and then prepare paste.

- In the same vessel, heat oil and fry chopped onion & garlic till light brown. Add green chilli paste, long thin strips of ginger, fried paste, turmeric powder, curd, salt and fry for some time. Mix paneer cubes, some water & cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.

- Garnish with green coriander and serve hot.
