Mawa Matar as the name says its full of rich ingredients and creamy texture. You can't resist to make it or taste it.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Green Pea (boiled)
  • 1/2 cup Cashew nuts (fried)
  • 2 tablespoon Water Melon seeds paste
  • 1/2 cup Whole Dried Milk (Khoya/Mawa)
  • 2 tablespoon Poppy seeds paste (Khush-Khush)
  • 1/2 cup Onion paste
  • 6-8 piece Green Cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon & Mace powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup Tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1/2 cup Oil/Ghee

Method

  • Heat oil in a deep vessel. Crackle green cardamom. Add Onion paste. Bhuno it till oil is separated.
  • Add water melon & poppy seeds paste. Bhuno it. Add red chili & coriander powder, cinnamon & mace powder. Bhuno it. Slowly add milk and keep Bhuno it. Add tomato puree and Bhuno it.
  • Mix whole dried milk & cream. Keep Bhuno it.
  • Add boiled green pea, fried cashew nuts, salt, sugar, garam masala powder & a cup of water. Prepare thick gravy. Cook for five minutes on low flame and switch off.
  • Serve hot.
